I wrote this poem a year ago, when i wrote it in language. i just found it under my bed and i thought that i would share it.

Who Sees Who

My teacher sees me as a smart kid

My mother sees me as a sweet kid

My father sees me as a funny boy

My sister sees me as a loving brother

My best friend sees me as a great friend

I see my teacher as a kind woman

I see my mother as a wonderful cook

I see my father as a computer genius

I see my sister as a creative sister

I see my best friend as a true friend

in the mountains with my grandpa

ok so a while ago me and my family went up to the mountains in utah with my grandpa.
and while we where there we all went boating.

this is a picture of me kayaking down the lake.

this picture as you can probably tell is my grandpa.

while we where at the lake we saw a hiker hiking with 2 lamas! to bad we couldn't ride them, because the owner said that the lamas hate people riding on them.

and finally this picture is of me wanting to hurry and put my life jacket on so i could get in the water and have fun.

madison

My sister Madison or sometimes called madi went to a girl scout camp on Tuesday. she is finally coming back today! i haven't talked about her on my blog yet so here is a little description about her. she is only 3 years younger than me. we both have a birthday in December and she is very sweet even though she can get mad very easily which is why i gave her the nickname mad.

so i am really happy that she is coming home tonight.

swim team

For the past 1 1/2 weeks i have been in swimming lessons. every morning at 6:30 i go to the perry pool and start to swim. our teams name is the perry piranhas. so far i think being on the swim team is pretty fun. By the way the pictures is me at a swim meet, i came in last place.

viola

For the past year i have been playing the viola. the viola is a bit bigger than the violin and has a lower sound. i used to play the piano but when i got to fifth grade i switched to the viola. the viola has oppend up a whole lot of opportunity's for me. the picture above is me playing at a recital. that is my third recital.

Social Studies Report

A while ago my teacher wanted us to do a famous American report for the entire school to see. so after a while i chose Joseph smith. For the report i had to have 5 paragraphs on him and i had to have a big tri-fold poster. Also i had to dress up as him, well i guess not completely. But anyway today is the day it's due. so when i got to school i went to the cafeteria and put my tri-fold on one of the tables then i went into my classroom and got out a book. then my teacher told me and the rest of the class that it was time to go into the cafeteria and get ourselves ready. so about 15 minutes later kids are coming in the cafeteria and looking at the posters and asking questions, when all of the sudden some kids went over to my poster and started asking me questions but of course after they listened to me for a bit they just walked away to hear someone else. and it was like that for the next hour kids comming up, listining to me then walking away. It was fun talking to all those kids and teaching them about my person, but after the last person left we got to go into another room and have a snack and talk to each other. today so far was realy fun.

about a week ago my mom showed me a cool website called simpsonizeme.com. on it you put in a picture of yourself and answer some questions, then your simpsonized. the picture above is nick simpson at school.

Boy scouts

Now that I'm 11 I get to go to Boy scouts. boy scouts is so much fun when i get to play with my friends and learn about different things. In boy scouts we have been talking about going on a camp out! when they first told me and the rest of the scouts they said that me and chip get to cook the food! I cant wait!

fieldtrip and other stuff

I have 3 days to tell about today last thursday, last friday, and finaly today sunday.
Last thursday my dad and i went on a fieldtrip to the wells fargo museam. when we got there right by the doorway there was a real stage coach! right on the top it said wells fargo & company. when we went inside the manager told us all about the history of wells fargo. when she was done she lead us through a replica of a mine shaft and showed us a replica of gold.

when we where done with the tour we got to go in a replica of a stage coach. after all that we got in the bus and went to a historical park right by the state capitol.
the next day in language a.l.p. mrs.bauer told us that she will be picking toast masters today. she told me that i will be doing a report on disney world. i cant wait to learn more about disney world. later that night i made tostadas and everybody loved them.
now for today. so far my day has been a blur of activity. we had to hurry and get to church then we had to get to our classes on time. after church we got to go to the browns house and eat lunch there. they have a pool there so madison and zach went to it and put there feet in. then dad came over and threw madison in the pool 2 times. we had a whole lot of fun there. i even got to play gutar hero 2. i have never played it before. i cant wait to see what the rest of the day has in store for me.

language a.l.p

when i said i wanted today to be better i think today was way better. today in language A.L.P everybody thought my personal narritave was the best and is being entered in a contest. also my dad finaly came home from his long trip. and i made marissa cry by telling her whole group of kids all of her lies and told them the truth. well now i know that there is less kids who hate me.

today someone was talking to me about poems and this is the one that came to my head. "what's in a name that which we call a rose by any other word that would smell as sweet" that one was by shakespeare. i was thinking about writing a poem every day in my blog. well i have to get up early tomorow so i can go to chess club. so i will write tomorow. until then nicholas berrett.

my first blog

my first blog well this is my very first blog. my mom made one just yesterday and so i decided to make one.today i got out of school early because it is a half day. the other day i had a funny expirence, my teacher gave me a pack of magnets that the other nick in my class orderd. well since this is my first blog i might as well talk about my favorite things._my favorite color is red._my favorite animal is a penguin._my favorite number is 10._ my favorite friends are nick, brandon, kawelo and ashley.monday i volunteered to help out at this math night wednsday from 5:15 to 6:30 but at 6:30 people where still coming in so they had me stay until about 7:15 then i finaly got to go. during the time i was helping i got to work at a table where little got to make snowmen. the job that nobody wanted because of all the screaming kids. luckly i got 12 tickets and won three prizes.i just hpoe tomorow will be a better day. until then nicholas.
