Constitution

Captains Log Stardate 061112.09
Ok so my friend Loren and I were looking at a document that some of our friends from orchestra had sent us the other day. The document was a New Constitution for The Revolution Against The Ordinary (RATO for short).

One of my friends printed up all 35 pages of the constitution and we all signed it last night at the stake dance.
By the way we are working on a copy of a bill of rights so i will have more information on that soon. If you would like to see the entire copy of the constitution just leave your name and email in the comments below thanks!

EDIT: My mom said this post wasn't good enough and that i should include some of my favorite parts from the New Constitution For The Revolution Against The Ordinary. So here are a couple of my Favorite parts.

CLAUSE TWENTY-NINES (yes it is Spelled correctly)
The plural of moose is moosen. Specifically, used in the context of “that flock of flying leggedless moosen just stole my nutella- covered lasagna and now they have seventeen people ready to
mildly murder them with a fork.” (See diagram 1a for detail.) There are four plurals of cello: cellos, cellee, celli, and lasagna (see above).

This Next Part is the fine print in the back that you see after you sign this constitution.

In case of severe allergic reaction, call the number 1-800-U-R-DEAD. Do not attempt to eat this contract, under penalty of being made of paper, because you are what you eat, so cannibals are not the only real humans. If a cannibal eats a human who has eaten broccoli, then the human is broccoli, making the cannibal who ate the human broccoli broccoli. Broccoli is a weird word. Therefore, if a cannibal eats a baby who has never eaten anything before in its life, the baby has eaten nothing, therefore it is nothing, so the cannibal who ate the baby who ate nothing would be nothing and cease to exist. So, when you really think about it, there is absolutely no way that anybody could be a true human being. But, when you think about it a little bit harder, broccoli hasn’t eaten anything (this broccoli being the vegetable, not the human broccoli or the cannibal) so vegetarians who eat vegetables that haven’t eaten anything are technically eating nothing, so vegetarians are nothing. Furthermore, if a small animal eats a plant which is nothing, and then a larger animal eats that small animal which is now nothing, the larger animal would be nothing as well. So, basically none of us exist. Therefore, it is logical to assume that this constitution does not exist. Because of that, the world is a figment of our imaginations. However, how can we have an imagination if we don’t exist? So, it is only logical to conclude that we are not what we eat. Caution: may cause cancer in the state (of mind) of California. Warning: toxic in large quantities. Read in portions of twelve peanut butter years or smaller to avoid risk of death by asphyxiation or being stabbed with a fork.

Well I hope that I have given you enough that you will want to read the entire thing.
Sincerely,
Nicholas John Berrett The First
Official Member of the Revolution Against the Ordinary (R.A.T.O)

The Girl I Marry

Captains Log Stardate 060712.19
My Mom and I were recently talking and we both came to the same conclusion about one thing. The girl I marry has to know what this is and would love to have this as a wedding cake topper.

Pizza

In orchestra we made a list of things that we would like to do before the summer ends. We called it the Ultimate To-Do List of Randomness

My friend Loren and I recently just completed one of the things on that list. We went into a pizza place and ordered a toping-less pizza. Yes, a pizza with absolutely nothing on it.
After we got our pizza we headed back to Loren's house and put some of our own toppings on it. Some of these included meatballs and macaroni and cheese.
Surprisingly it was actually really good. After we ate the pizza we hung out and I got to join them for family movie night.
Next up on the list: Live Fruit Ninja!

Disney land Part 1

This last friday I had the oppourtunity to go to disneyland with my orchestra class and my mom. On Friday morning we all boarded the busses and headed off to california. We arrived at our hotel at about 5:30 and were given 20 min. to get ready for CATS. How was cats you may ask? well, it was very boring and confusing and thhe only thing that I understood was that it was about cats.
The next day was when all the fun began. We started off the day by heading to disney land and going to a clinic. For the clinic we got to go into an actual disney recording studio and be recorded playing various pieces featured in different movies. After recording we then got to watch the movie and hear our selves paying in stead of the professional orchestra. It was very cool and my only complaint is that I whish that it had been a little longer.

I Never Saw Another Butterfly

Ok now I know that this title sounds really depressing but I am really REALLY excited to be in a school play about the Holocaust.

I'm sure you may be asking your selves why i'm so excited to be in a Holocaust play, and no it is not just cause I like history. I am excited to be in it because this is my first play that i'm in. A little while ago I auditioned for the play just hoping to get the experience of trying out and seeing what it was like, and as it turns out I made it!!! Now just in case your wondering I didn't get a major role but I got a pretty good sized part, I'm Child II. Well actually I was casted as Child I but when I got home that night and my mom and I were reading my lines we noticed that some of them sounded a little girly. Then we saw it, a line that would have had people making fun of me for years. Well I guess I can't put it off any longer, here it is.

Child I: May I call you grandfather, because you have no little girl and I have no grandpa?"

Little girl?! (insert scary screeching noises here) I'm not a little girl! Thankfully I was able to trade parts with a girl who had gotten a guy part and now I am happily Child II.

I can't wait to see what the real rehearsals are like. This is going to be an amazing play season.

Come see the school play! February 26th and 27th! See you there. :)

High School

This year is my first year in high school. So far it has been so amazing at campo. This year i am taking seminary, Honors Lab Biology, Math, Gym, Drama, and Orchestra. So far i cant really say that i have a favorite class because they are just all so awesome.
This year i have the opportunity to run cross country. so far it has been amazing, all the people are so friendly and the coach is a science teacher (my teacher) so he tells us science facts while were running.
Some of the clubs that i want to do this year are mostly drama club and improv club. Improv is where you act by doing or saying things of the top of your head.
I really think that this is going to be a great year and i cant wait to see what treasures it holds.

campo verde

Recently my class went over and toured the high school Campo Verde where we will be attending next year. A lot of thoughts were going through my head as we toured the school. What will my Pack (group of kids the school randomly puts together on the first day) be called? Who will my teachers be? How will i change?

The school was very interesting itself, there were lots of hallways and rooms that looked like they had never been used. Also There was a whole building that smelled like a dentist's office (which if you don't know smells disguisting.) and another that smelled like oranges.

They also had a really awsome program called teacher prep. In this program i can learn how to be a teacher and earn lots of college credits.

I am so excited and ready for highschool if anyone has any tips please leave a comment .

Family Campout

We just got back from a ward family campout. I thought we were not going because my dad is out of town. But my mom suprised me and brought a friend on it with us th help take care of the kids.

The campout was a nice and short one. We got there around 6:10 and ate dinner around a big ward campfire. After that we set up out tents and got everything organized.

The next morning we ate pancakes, sausage, and eggs. Then we went on hikes, had a air soft war, and talked. I had a lot of fun at the air soft war. I got a big shotgun and was able to hide behind logs and shoot people. i Dominated, Thats right didnt get shot once.

Around 11 we got packed up and left for home. It was avery fun campout and i had lots of fun. Even though it gave my mom lots of stress i think that it was all worth it.

Blog book

A while ago my mom made a blog book for the year 2008. It was very amazing and was The envy of all our friends.

Well now that we have another year of blog material my mom just finished 2009. it is very cool and is so much fun to look through and see all the posts that we did. here is what it looks like.

We are all very excited about t and cant wait for 2010.
P.S. i am sorry about the blurry photos i had to take them with my crappy phone camera. I'll just have to sneak my mom's camera next time.

EVYS

Last year i was in a orchestra called EVYS (east valley youth symphony). well this year i auditioned for it again an made it! Unfortunally i made it in the lowest level which is filled wth kids from the ages of 8-12. I had really wanted to get in the more advanced level but because i didnt practice all summer i Failed.
My mom says i will just have to be a man and live with it until winter comes and i can audition to move up. I really hope i do because i really want to be with all my friends who moved up.

los Alamos, New Mexico

While our parents were in Europe we decided to go visit our cousins in New Mexico. The ride up there was long and a little boring but i managed to survive without saying "are we there yet" like my brother and sister. when we arrived it seemed as if no one was home but as we walked through the front door we were greeted by everyone and were given the grand tour.

Their house was a small condo with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. i really loved their back yard. despite the hot and dry climate their backyard was all green. Plants, trees, grass, even some of those plants that hang from the ceiling. Also they even had a giant tree house that our aunt and her dad had built together.

The next morning our uncle surprised us with blueberry pancakes. i was the only kid out of 6 who actually enjoyed them. After breakfast we headed toward a campsite up in the mountains by their house. the rest of the day was spent riding bikes and hiking. The next day we had pancakes for breakfast but we forgot the syrup so we used jam instead. After that we went back to the house ate lunch then went hiking up to a water fall.

The hike up was really easy and only took about 20 min walking. The end though was amazing. not one, not two, but 6 waterfalls that all took my breath away.

After playing in the river for a while we dryied off and headed to the house. We had hot dogs for lunch and ate them outside on the patio. After eating we played in the backyard and talked. because most of the equipment in the backyard was for little kids mostly just talked with the adults.

That night we ate a wonderful homemade pizza. we got to put whatever we wanted on it. For desert we had amazing homemade bread. I found out that they gave mom a book a while ago with all of their bread recipes in it.

That night while most of the others went back to the campsite i stayed at their house and slept in a nice soft bed. The nest morning we had pie for breakfast and just talked waiting for the others to arrive from the campsite.

Later that day grandpa hall took me t a nuclear museum that was all about the atomic bomb. it was really interesting and i learned a lot about the history of the town. We spent most of the day their and came home to grilled chicken wings.

That night we all camped in their living room and ate ice cream while watching alice in wonderland.

The next morning We ate bagle sandwiches and got all packed up. we then all said our good byes and piled into the car we then drove 12 hours back to grandmas house and went to sleep immediatly.

This trip was so much fun and i hope that i get to see my cousins there again soon.

The Zion Encampment

This summer i am going to the Zion Encampment with some of my friends. Camp Zion is a boyscout camp that we go to every 4 years. I am really excited about this year because they are releasing 4 merit badges that have been retired for over 50 years. This is a once in a lifetime chance to get these merit badges.

At camp Zion there are two awards that you can get, the Ironman award and the Man of Valor. our goal is to get them both. If everyone in my troop gets this award then our leaders get an award too. The award is a very nice belt with the camp symbol on it or a very nice money clip with the camp symbol on it.

Our leaders told us that this will be an experience that we will never forget. i cant wait to go to camp Zion i know that it will be a blast

honors

at the beginning of the school year i was in all honors. because of my problem with homework i had a f by the end of the first quarter in English. my English teacher told me at the end of the first quarter that i would not be in honors English when i got back to school. After a while i got used to my class and had a good time in there.
About a week ago i found out that the honors English test was coming up so i got a form filled out everything. unfortunately i forgot to have my parents sign it saying that they will allow me to take the test until the due date, today. by the time i realized this i was already at school. as usual i stayed after school with some of my friends when it hit me. my parents would have to pick me up, when they do i could have them sign it and go turn it in. when my homework was done i called my dad and had him pick me up. when he got here he signed it and i turned it in. Now all i have to do is hope for the best and wait for the test tommorow.

i'll save the money for therapy

last night my orchestra had a concert at Campoverde high school. we all had a lot of fun and the concert was amazing. when it was our turn to play we got up on stage and played conquistador, The Gypsy Rover, and Saturday at the Symphony. when we finished we thought nobody could be better than us (thought of course our string teachers spies were everywhere). but when we heard the high school orchestra play two thoughts went u in my head 1 wow they are amazing. and 2 i wonder what kind of beans they put in their burritos (inside joke ) :). soon after i heard the i-cant-remember-the-name-so-I'll-just-call-it-the-rock orchestra. they were amazing i mean they had drums, electric guitars, keyboards, electric violas, and electric violins.after the concert was over i went running ( i really mean walking her spies were still everywhere) to my parents and asked them if i could have an electric viola and join them when i get into highschool. my parents said two things 1 the rock orchestra sounded awful, and 2 electirc violas cost a lot of money plus you can hardly hear them. well now all of my hopes and dreams are crushed :(.

slacker

ok so i havent posted in a while ( about a year ) but hey at least hardley anybody will see this so i guess its ok to confess then. the trurh is that my mom is turnng all of the blogs into a book one for each year and frankley form looking at mine then my mom's mine is tiny. so i have had this little voice nagging at the back of my head and i decided to make a post. i did it purley out of boredom so dont you dare think that i actually enjoy doing this. lets face it you dont want me as an enemy espically when i am on sugar ( just ask dayton he knows and is still recovering from the trauma).so there ive said it but dont be expecting more than 1 a week understand. ok then have a good day nicholas berrett signing off.
